3. Project Agreements

A formal written contract is required before any work begins. This contract will outline the full scope of work, materials to be used, project timeline, total cost, payment schedule, and warranty terms. No work will commence until the project agreement has been signed by both parties.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms are outlined in each individual project agreement. Our general payment structure includes:

Deposit: A deposit is required upon signing the project agreement to secure scheduling and order materials
Progress Payments: For larger projects, progress payments may be required at agreed-upon milestones
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon satisfactory completion of the project and final walkthrough

Specific payment amounts and schedules will be detailed in your individual project contract.

5. Warranty Coverage

We stand behind the quality of our work and materials:

Material Warranty: Our roofing projects include a 50-year material warranty on BP shingles, backed by the manufacturer
Workmanship Guarantee: We provide a 20-year workmanship warranty covering installation and labour defects

Warranty terms for specific projects may vary and will be detailed in your project agreement. Warranties do not cover damage caused by severe weather events beyond normal conditions, unauthorized modifications or repairs performed by others, lack of reasonable maintenance, or normal wear and tear. 6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canadian Crafted Roofing & Renovations (M Milne Projects Inc) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of this website or our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for that specific project.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Manitoba or Canadian law.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of M Milne Projects Inc or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our written consent.

Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of the Province of Manitoba, in the City of Winnipeg.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute related to a project, we encourage clients to first contact us directly to seek a resolution. We are committed to fair and transparent communication. If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct discussion, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action. The costs of mediation shall be shared equally between the parties.

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
